YOU FOUND THE SOCIETY.
We know some things. We suspect others. We’re still looking for answers.
For years, the Society has collected stories, reports, locations, and accounts of things that resist easy explanation. Some answers have been found. Others have only created more questions.
CURRENT MEMBERS
MARA
STATUS: Active
ENTRY: Brought In
DESIGNATION: Unknown
Mara has a habit of finding the stories people stopped telling. Old roads, forgotten places, local legends—especially the ones where history and rumor have become impossible to separate. She rarely says how she first came to the Society, and so far, nobody has convinced her to.
JAMES
STATUS: Active
ENTRY: Brought In
DESIGNATION: Unknown
James has been part of the Society long enough to know which questions are worth asking—and which ones are better left alone. He rarely appears in public records, and when he does, details tend to be limited. Ask him what his role is and you’re unlikely to get an answer. Ask about the key, and you’ll get even less.
SYN
STATUS: Active
ENTRY: Brought In
DESIGNATION: Unknown
Syn goes looking for the places most people pass without noticing. Strange roadside stops, forgotten corners, local rumors—if something feels a little off, she usually wants a closer look. How she came to the Society is rarely discussed. What seems clear is that she’s still discovering exactly why she was brought in.
JULIAN
STATUS: Active
ENTRY: Born In
DESIGNATION: Unknown
Julian has never known a life entirely outside the Society. He speaks of its history with the familiarity of someone who remembers more than he explains, and he has a habit of knowing things before anyone thinks to ask. When questioned about his role, Julian usually changes the subject. When questioned about the Society, he usually asks a question of his own.
AND THEN THERE’S YOU.
Some members are born into the Society. Some are brought in. And some find us before they understand why.
Maybe you know a story we haven’t heard. Maybe there’s something strange in your town that everyone knows about but nobody talks about. Or maybe you’re simply curious enough to keep looking. Whatever brought you here, you’re welcome to stay awhile.
